WHERE to find us in 2013

HAPPY NEW YEAR! A new year, a sparkling clean page on the calendar, a time for change and fresh starts! Well, it’s the same story for us here at the Tin Barn. We have had an amazing, experimental and very fun year with our pop-up shop adventures and now, it’s time to make good on our new year’s resolution – we have decided to drop the pop, and OFFICIALLY put down some roots. . . . We LOVE our happy little corner here in Almonte.  We’re right next to a bakery for pete’s sake (Baker Bob’s) and we very much enjoy being part of a community that’s authentic and supportive and is working towards encouraging more people to discover this...

Holiday WISH BOOK

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FRIENDS! We’ve put together a little cheat sheet to help with the more tricky ones on your gift list. Or… perhaps you might need to print this out, circle your heart’s desire and “accidentally” leave it in a very OBVIOUS place. . (wink) We’re here to help.       And of course, for those of you are still undecided we always have GIFT CARDS. Don’t worry, even though we are a “pop-up shop”, the TIN BARN MARKET will always be *somewhere* so all gift cards will be honoured and our next adventures can be found on our WEBSITE. . From now until DECEMBER 24TH we will be open 7 days a week...

AUTUMN News

Crisp mornings, cool nights, turning leaves and already we are wanting to spend time snuggled up under warm covers. So, as the summer comes to an end we are happy to tell you …that we have decided to take another jump. We will keep the Tin Barn Market right here, in our cozy space in Almonte, all the way thru to the end of December. WE’RE STAYING! …for a little longer anyways. We’ve signed the lease, crossed our fingers, and have already begun to think about all the exciting new things we can bring in for the holidays and cooler months to come. We always like to know what special items you folks are searching for, or the kinds of things you would...

We’re letting the CAT OUTTA THE BAG!

You may have heard a whisper or two about plans for a T I N  B A R N  E X P A N S I O N… Well, the rumours are TRUE. Baker Bob has relocated his amazing smelling kitchen to a gorgeous new production space right behind his store, and now …we have a big empty space behind us that is just calling out for some LOVE. How could we say no?  We were feeling a little cramped anyway. Over the next few weeks we’re all about renovating – turning the old bakery into a more Tin Barn-style shop & hunting down lots of interesting finds to fill it with. The original shop space is still OPEN! 10am – 5pm Tuesday through Sunday, albeit a little dustier...

Getting Ready for Pretty Summer Nights!

Despite the cold weather holding on these days, summer is fast approaching!  When the warm weather is finally here no one wants to be indoors more than they have to.  It’s these warm nights that we’re looking forward to the most.  Nothing is more lovely than dining al fresco, so we can’t help thinking about setting the scene for long, delicious outdoor meals with friends and good conversations into the night.  Likely… helped out with a little vino or summery cocktails!  Check out some of these fabulous outdoor inspiration looks that we’re falling in love with.  Then let us help you create your own special backyard...

Summer Camp – GRAND OPENING!

For those of you who don’t know yet… we have found the perfect place to call home for the ENTIRE summer! We are camping out just 2 doors away from our winter pop-up shop on the main street of Almonte. Our new address: 73 Little Bridge street. If you’ve never been, Almonte is just a half hour drive from Ottawa. This hip little town with friendly folk, good food and funky shops just keeps drawing us back into its charm and positive energy. But here’s the best part – we are tucking in right next to Baker Bob, the longstanding Hometown Bakery. Yes, that’s right, this means the shop always smells a-m-a-z-i-n-g, and 2, we have direct...
